OVERVIEW
With support from Eddisons, Infinity Academies Trust secured funding from the Condition
Improvement Fund (CIF) to upgrade Gipsey Bridge Academy’s safety systems. The project involved replacing internal fire doors, updating the emergency lighting system, and installing a new fire alarm.
Following a competitive tender, G&H was appointed to deliver the installation. Our team installed the new fire alarm system, including containment, cabling, panels, and detection units across the school, followed by full testing and commissioning. The emergency lighting system was also completely replaced to meet Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) standards for educational settings, including all containment, cabling, lighting units, and test key facilities.
To ensure the school could operate the new systems confidently, G&H provided comprehensive staff training.
The result is a fully compliant school with a safer environment, giving staff and students peace of mind and a space where learning can thrive.
