OVERVIEW
We carried out the design and build of all mechanical and electrical services to the infrastructure works of two single storey office buildings that form part of the iPort Logistics Park & Strategic Rail Freight Terminal in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
Part of a 700-acre logistics park, it sees mega-warehousing for tenants including Amazon, CEVA, Fellowes and Lidl.
iPort Rail has been designed to open up the Yorkshire region with connections for national and international freight transport providing services to all major UK ports and the Channel Tunnel.
CHALLENGE
Due to the speed of the hub’s construction, we were required to deliver the M&E in the two office buildings as quickly as possible so it was immediately ready for future occupants.
SOLUTION
Our services included external lighting, small power, air conditioning, fire alarm installation, a VRF system, sanitary ware, ventilation and extraction, building management system, detection and occupancy safety timer for toilets.
We also brought in gas and water supplies for future connections.
RESULTS
We managed a highly organised M&E programme that was delivered on time, on budget and defect free.
