OVERVIEW
G&H was appointed by Caddick Construction to deliver a full mechanical, electrical, and
public health design‑and‑build package for the new Pudsey Sixth Form College in Leeds.
The project supports Luminate Education Group’s goal of expanding high‑quality learning environments for 16-19‑year‑olds.
CHALLENGE
The brief required us to integrate energy‑saving systems to secure top sustainability ratings and meet BRUKL standards.
Despite the 50‑strong team being tasked with delivering the project in just 21 weeks, it was
completed on time and to the highest standard.
SOLUTION
G&H delivered the full suite of MEP services, including:
• Ducted ventilation systems with hybrid and heat recovery units.
• Complete plumbing and sanitaryware installation.
• Building Management System (BMS).
• Air conditioning systems.
• Fire alarms, CCTV, and access control.
• Electrical and data systems.
• PV (solar) installation.
• Windcatchers for natural ventilation.
• Once installation was complete, all systems were tested, commissioned, and handed over seamlessly for ongoing service and maintenance by our dedicated maintenance
department.
RESULTS
The project was delivered on time, achieving BRUKL certification. Pudsey Sixth Form College
now provides much‑needed sixth‑form capacity for students across Leeds, offering a comfortable, energy‑efficient environment where young people can learn and thrive.
